We meet on the second Monday of each month, unless that date falls on a holiday.
Farragut could see the ships pulling back from his high perch, where he was lashed to the rigging of his flagship, USS Hartford. “What’s the trouble?”, he shouted through a trumpet to USS Brooklyn. “Torpedoes”, was the shouted reply. “Damn the torpedoes.”, said Farragut, “Four bells, Captain Drayton, go ahead. Jouett, full speed.”
Our upcoming pen club meeting will be at Murrays house, on Monday November the 14th starting at 7pm.
This months topic: Torpedo shaped pens, or… the Sheaffer Balance and the pens that look like them. Bring in your originals, or the pens they inspired to show and share.
As always, our secondary topic will be new acquisitions of pens, paper, pencils, ephemera, wax seals, stories, &tc.
If there is anything you would like to get a closer look at, feel free to give a shout to the group – chances are good someone has what you’re interested in.
Please RSVP so we can ensure seating….
See you all next Monday
